The answer key of GATE 2026 exam, which is included in the biggest engineering exams, has been released. It has been released by IIT Guwahati, the candidates who had given the GATE exam this year can now check their answer key by visiting the official website. After a long wait, the arrival of the answer key has brought a lot of relief to the students.
GATE 2026 exam was conducted on 7, 8, 14 and 15 February 2026. This examination was conducted in computer based mode at different examination centers across the country. This time the GATE exam was conducted for 30 subjects, in which lakhs of students took part.
What will be the benefit of answer key?
After the release of the answer key, candidates can match their given answers with the correct answers. With this, students can get an idea of how their paper went and how many marks they can get. It is very helpful for students to know the probable score before the result is declared.
Calculate your probable marks like this
To know their probable marks, first of all candidates have to download their response sheet and provisional answer key. After this, match your selected answers with the answer key. Count the correct answers and also note down the wrong answers. This will help you in calculating negative marking correctly. Now calculate only raw marks, as normalization is done later.
Will get a chance to lodge objection
If any candidate feels that any answer given in the answer key is wrong, then he can also lodge an objection on it. For this, a fixed time limit will be given by the board. Candidates can submit their objection online with the prescribed fee. The final answer key will be released only after examining all the objections.

- Click on GOAPS Portal link given on the homepage.
- Now the login page will open, where enter your registration ID and password.
- As soon as you login, a provisional answer key will appear on the screen.
- Look at it carefully and download and save it.
