US President Donald Trump once again claimed a major success in foreign policy in his State of the Union address given at the joint session of Congress. He said that in the first 10 months of his second term, he ended 8 wars, which also included the conflict between India and Pakistan. Trump claimed that this conflict could have turned into a nuclear war, but was stopped due to his mediation.

This time, Trump took credit for stopping the war and went two steps ahead. Trump said, ‘In my first 10 months I ended 8 wars… Cambodia and Thailand, Pakistan and India… It could have been a nuclear war. Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif told me that if I had not intervened, 35 million people would have died.

Trump also mentioned many other conflicts in his address, such as Israel-Iran, Armenia-Azerbaijan, Rwanda-DRC, Serbia-Kosovo. He said that they are trying to make peace and America is now becoming stronger. Trump claimed that because of him peace has been achieved in many places in the world.
