Zeeshan, the main accused in the deadly attack on YouTuber Salim Vastik in Loni, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, has been killed by the police in an encounter. During the encounter, Zeeshan was hit by two bullets and after being taken to the hospital in an injured condition, he died during treatment. The special thing is that a day before, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had announced strict action against the attackers.
On Friday morning, two bike-riding attackers entered Salim Vastik’s office and attacked him with a knife on his neck and stomach. Seriously injured Salim was first taken to the local hospital and later admitted to GTB Hospital in Delhi. His neck has been operated and another surgery is pending. His condition still remains critical.
Encounter took place the day after CM Yogi’s warning
A day before the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had given a statement of strict action against those who attacked Salim. The very next day, the main accused Zeeshan was killed in a police encounter in Loni. Zeeshan was a resident of Amroha. After the encounter, heavy police force was deployed on the spot.
Threats were received regarding video content
Salim Vastik calls himself an ex-Muslim and makes videos on YouTube. It was reported that he received many protests and threats on social media regarding his video content. It is being told that due to his continuous statements, he was the target of some people. Police are also investigating the role of other possible accused on the basis of CCTV footage and other clues.
