In Uttarakhand, BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt has given a clear message to the party leaders and office-bearers regarding the upcoming assembly elections 2027, that they should not create a situation of controversy by making unnecessary claims for tickets. He said that at present the lotus flower is the only candidate for the party and the aim of every worker should be to work with full strength to make her win. Bhatt said that the focus of the organization should be on election preparation and increasing public relations, and not on the race for tickets.
The ability to win will be the basis of the ticket
Mahendra Bhatt made it clear that this time the biggest parameter of ticket distribution will be the winning ability. He said that the party will give opportunity only to those people who have the highest chances of winning.
According to Bhatt, the main objective of the leaders and workers who have been given responsibility in the government or organization should be to strengthen the organization and make the party win in the elections. Asking for tickets ahead of time affects the atmosphere of the party and creates confusion.
Candidate selection will be done on the basis of survey
Bhatt also said that if the face of any official or official is found to be the most popular and winning in the survey, then the party will not shy away from making him a candidate.
He told that five different surveys will be conducted to decide the candidates. The final decision will be taken on the basis of these surveys only. This will ensure that the candidate who gets the ticket has the highest chances of winning.
The state BJP has started making a special strategy on those 23 assembly seats where the party could not win last time. Bhatt said that a special campaign is being run on these seats to strengthen the organization and activate the workers. The party is trying to perform better on these seats in the next elections and increase the victory figure.
cabinet expansion signs
Bhatt also gave positive indications regarding the cabinet posts lying vacant for a long time in Uttarakhand. He said that there is a discussion going on about simultaneous cabinet expansion in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
There is a possibility that there may be cabinet expansion in Uttarakhand in the month of March, due to which five vacant posts can be filled. Along with this, the new list of responsibilities may also be finalized from the Center soon.
Targeted at Congress
Attacking the opposition, Mahendra Bhatt said that Congress today is cut off from public issues and is doing politics only on emotional issues. Referring to the Ankita Bhandari episode, he said that Congress has contested many elections on this issue, but every time the public has expressed confidence in the BJP. According to him, this is an indication that the people of the state stand with the politics of development and stability.
Bhatt also gave clarification regarding the recent meeting held at Kunwar Pranab Singh Champion’s residence. He said that it was only a courtesy call. During this, the leaders were advised to maintain discipline and maintain the decorum of language.
Bhatt said that in the era of social media, leaders should be more cautious, because even small things spread quickly and the party’s image can be affected.
In response to a personal question, Mahendra Bhatt said that if he had not been in politics, he would have been working as a full-time pracharak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He said that working in the organization has been an important part of his life.
