Ramcharan came to the reception barefoot
Ram Charan had arrived at the reception with his wife Upasana. He was wearing black clothes from head to toe. But what caught people’s attention the most was the fact that he had come to the program without shoes, i.e. barefoot. Many people were surprised to see him like this and his pictures started going viral on social media also. But there is a special religious reason behind this. These days Ram Charan is following ‘Ayyappa Deeksha’. This is considered a difficult and sacred fast observed by the devotees of Lord Ayyappa. During this fast, devotees have to strictly follow some rules.
Ramcharan is taking initiation for 41 days
The fast involves wearing black or blue clothes, living a simple life and remaining barefoot for 41 days. For this reason, Ram Charan was seen without shoes even in the reception. Ayyappa initiation is considered disciplined and difficult. Meanwhile, devotees have to follow complete celibacy. One also has to stay away from non-vegetarian food, alcohol and not cut hair or beard. This fast is observed before the visit to Sabarimala temple. However, this is not the first time that Ram Charan has been seen barefoot like this. Earlier, even before attending the Oscar ceremony in 2023, he was seen following Ayyappa Deeksha.
