February was considered a winter month and pleasant weather was expected in March. However, now these hopes seem to be dashing. The temperature of Delhi has proved that now the days of scorching heat have arrived in March itself. This March has been the hottest March recorded in recent years.

The beginning of March has been the hottest in recent years. The minimum average temperature in Delhi has been recorded at 16 degrees Celsius, the highest since 2023. All this has been seen in the first five days of the month itself, after which people are worried about how the entire month ahead will go?

Due to unusually hot nights and high day temperatures, the mercury rose much above normal. Earlier in the year 2023, the average minimum temperature was recorded at 16.2 degrees Celsius.

Today is the hottest day of March

Thursday, March 5, was the hottest day of the season so far, when the maximum temperature reached 34.3 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, today’s temperature was 6.9 degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 18.2 degrees Celsius, which was 4.8 degrees more than the average.

Now the heat will increase gradually!

According to the report of news agency PTI, Skymet’s Mahesh Palawat said that there is no possibility of any significant weather activity in neighboring states like Delhi and Punjab for at least the next 10 days. There are indications of clear sky and bright sunshine in the coming days, due to which the temperature may gradually increase both in the morning and evening. Wind speed is also likely to increase in the coming days.

What was the temperature of Delhi today?

IMD has informed that the maximum temperature recorded at Delhi’s base station Safdarjung was 34.3 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 18.2 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, the maximum temperature recorded in Palam was 32.5 degrees Celsius which was 5.5 degrees more than normal. The minimum temperature was also 16.1 degrees i.e. 3.5 degrees more than normal.

The maximum temperature recorded at Lodhi Road was 34.4 degrees Celsius, which is 7.4 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature was 17.0 degrees Celsius, which is 5.0 degrees above normal.
