- According to industry tracker Saknilk, till 11 am on Tuesday, July 21, ‘Jana Nayakan’ has pre-sold 4 lakh 29 thousand 869 tickets for 5751 shows across the country.
- With this, this film has earned Rs 10.45 crore in advance booking without block seats. Whereas the total earning from advance booking on the first day with block seats has been Rs 15.18 crore.

‘Jana Nayakan’ has done wonders in the pre-ticket sale itself. With a pre-release gross of Rs 15 crore, the film has overtaken the pre-ticket sale collection of Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu and has become the fourth highest grossing film of the year in advance booking.

Will ‘Jana Nayakan’ be able to defeat Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’?
Based on the current trend, Sacknilk estimates that this political action drama can open to around Rs 50-60 crore in India. However, if the last minute ticket booking of the film is strong, this figure may change. Still, it will be interesting to see whether ‘Jana Nayakan’ surpasses director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Coolie’ (Rs. 151 crore) and creates the record of highest first day collection worldwide for a Tamil film.
