The Indian team is immersed in celebration after winning the T20 World Cup 2026. After registering a spectacular victory in the final, some players of the team reached Hanuman Tekri Temple in Ahmedabad and took blessings of God. During this, captain Suryakumar Yadav, head coach Gautam Gambhir and ICC Chairman Jai Shah were also present with him.
The players went to the famous Hanuman temple in Ahmedabad and offered prayers with the T20 World Cup trophy. The video of the team reaching the temple is becoming increasingly viral on social media.

India’s big victory in the final
In the final match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the Indian team once again proved its credibility in the T20 format by defeating New Zealand by 96 runs and won the title. With this victory, India has captured the T20 World Cup trophy for the third time.
Batting first, the Indian team had put a huge score of 255 runs on the board in 20 overs. After this, the bowlers performed brilliantly and did not give the New Zealand team a chance to score big. The entire New Zealand team collapsed for 159 runs and India easily won the match.
Historic achievement of Indian team
With this victory, the Indian team was successful in making many special records in the history of T20 World Cup. Team India has become the first team to win this trophy at home. Apart from this, India also created history by winning this title for the second consecutive time.
Third consecutive ICC title
This victory is also special for Indian cricket because the team has won its third consecutive ICC title between 2024 and 2026. During this period, the performance of the team has been very excellent and it is being counted among the most successful teams of international cricket.
