Renault is soon going to present its new concept SUV Renault Bridger to the world. The world premiere of this SUV is going to happen on March 10, 2026. Before the launch, the company has released a small teaser, which gives a glimpse of its design. At first glance this SUV appears very strong and with a boxy look. Its design has a glimpse of Land Rover Defender, which makes it even more special. Let’s take a look at its features.
Strong style will be seen in design and look
The digital rendering of Renault Bridger is very similar to the teaser and from this one can get an idea of its overall look. The design of this SUV is straight and boxy, making it look like a strong off-road vehicle. Thick black cladding has been provided all around the vehicle, which gives it a more rough look. Apart from this, it also has black pillars, square wheel arches, side steps and black roof rails. At the rear, a spare tire is fitted on the tailgate, which is commonly seen in off-road SUVs. Apart from this, it also has specially designed tail lamps and ‘Bridger Concept’ badging.
Engine and Features
According to media reports, the upcoming Renault Bridger can be given the same engine which is found in Renault Kiger. Kiger has a 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine, which gives approximately 100 bhp power. This engine comes with both manual and automatic gearbox options. There is also discussion that this SUV can be offered with both front wheel drive and four wheel drive options. If this happens, then it can give tough competition to off-road SUVs like Maruti Jimny and Mahindra Thar 3-door.
Launch and expected price
The special thing is that Renault Bridger will be designed and developed in India only. Its production can be done in Renault’s Chennai manufacturing unit. According to reports, this SUV can be launched in the Indian market by 2027. Talking about the price, the price of its entry level model can be around Rs 10 lakh.
