Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has released important information related to the examination and registration of JEE Advanced 2026. This year the examination will be conducted on 17 May 2026. Indian candidates will be able to apply online from April 23 to May 2, while the registration process for foreign candidates will start from April 6, 2026. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website jeeadv.ac.in.
What qualification is required?
To appear in JEE Advanced 2026, candidates must pass Paper-1 of JEE Main 2026 and only the top 2.5 lakh candidates will be able to appear in this examination. The candidate must have appeared for the 12th class examination for the first time in 2025 or 2026. It is mandatory to have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th. Apart from this, candidates can appear for JEE Advanced exam only a maximum of two times and these attempts should be made in two consecutive years. Candidates who have already got admission in any IIT will not be eligible for this examination.
How much will the application fee cost?
The application fee for JEE Advanced 2026 has been decided differently according to the category. The application fee for Indian women candidates and SC, ST and PwD candidates has been kept at Rs 1600. Whereas General and OBC-NCL category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 3200. A separate fee has also been fixed for foreign candidates, in which the application fee has been fixed at US $ 100 for candidates from SAARC countries and US $ 200 for candidates from other countries.

When will the admit card be released?
Admit card for JEE Advanced 2026 will be released on the official website from 11 May 2026. Candidates will be able to download their admit card from 11th May to 17th May 2026.
The examination will be conducted in two shifts on 17 May 2026.
- First paper from 9 am to 12 noon
- Second paper from 2:30 pm to 5:50 pm
To be included in the merit list, it will be mandatory for the candidates to appear in both the papers.
How to apply
- Candidates should first go to the official website jeeadv.ac.in.
- After this login with JEE Main 2026 application number and password.
- After login, candidates should fill their required information.
- Select maximum eight options for exam city.
- Select the language of question paper from Hindi or English.
- After this the candidates should upload the necessary documents.
- Deposit the application fee.
- After submitting the application form, download the confirmation page and keep it safe.
