Bulldozer will run on Johar University. Rampur Development Authority issued demolition order. Construction done without a map will be demolished. Rampur Development Authority considered the construction without approved map as illegal. After detailed hearing, demolition order was issued. Under the zero tolerance policy of the Yogi government, bulldozers will be used on illegal constructions. Let us tell you that senior SP leader Azam Khan is the Chancellor of this university. 38 out of 40 buildings without maps- DM
Rampur DM Ajay Kumar Dwivedi said, “The building of Jauhar University was constructed without permission. Notice was given. Written reply has been given. Hearing was held today… After all the proceedings were completed, it was found that 40 buildings have been constructed in Jauhar University out of which only two have approved maps. The remaining 38 buildings have been constructed without getting the maps approved. They were considered illegal constructions and today the order for demolition was passed.”

DM further said, “The area where Johar University is built has come under the jurisdiction of RDA since 2024. Before that it was under the jurisdiction of the District Panchayat. The map of only two buildings in the entire campus has been approved by the District Panchayat. This means that they were fully aware of the rules and regulations because they had approved the map of only two buildings but did not get the map of 38 buildings approved.”
Demolish it yourself within 15 days, otherwise RDA will take action – DM
The DM said that ever since the RDA took over after 2024, the process of approving the map has not been done. At present, they are given 15 days time to demolish the illegal construction on their own. If this does not happen, RDA will take action itself.
Rampur University has been in controversies before also. It was established in the year 2006. According to the university’s website, it is at a distance of about 12 kilometers from Rampur Railway Station. The campus of the university is spread over an area of more than 250 acres.
