Delhi Traffic Police has issued a strict traffic advisory regarding Sonu Nigam’s live music concert ‘Satrangi Re’ to be held at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on Saturday. The program will run from 4 pm to 11 pm, but there will be heavy traffic pressure around from 2 pm to 10 pm. In view of the crowd of lakhs of fans, special restrictions have been imposed for safety and convenience.
Affected main roads and diversions
There will be a diversion on IP Marg (MGM Road), where no heavy vehicles will ply. Vikas Marg and Ring Road from Rajghat to IP Depot will also be affected. Commuters should avoid these routes between 2 pm to 10 pm.
Correct entry route for stadium gates
Entry for gate number 7 and 8 will be given from Velodrome Road. At the same time, gates 16, 18, 21 and 22 will have to be reached from MGM Road. Instructions have been issued by the traffic police to use only MGM Road for parking around Gate 18 located on the Ring Road.
Strict parking rules, vehicles without labels are not allowed inside.
Valid parking label will be required on the windscreen, otherwise parking will not be allowed around the stadium. Car parking label holders will have to enter the parking lot from Ring Road via MGM Road. Vehicles will be allowed to park at scheduled times only.
