Actor and TVK Chief Vijay has released the list of candidates for Tamil Nadu Assembly elections 2026 in Chennai. Meanwhile, Vijay himself is going to contest from 2 seats, which include Trichy East and Perambur (Chennai). Vijay also said that he would not be able to campaign everywhere himself. For this reason, he has chosen such candidates on whom he has full confidence and who can carry forward the work of the party in the right manner. Vijay also made it clear that his name will be used in the elections as C Joseph Vijay. Vijay has shown his preparation before the elections and has announced to enter the field with his team.
Elections are going to be held in Tamil Nadu in a single phase on 23 April. Its results will be released on May 4. Let us tell you that there are a total of 234 assembly seats in Tamil Nadu. There are total about 5.6 crore voters in Tamil Nadu. These include approximately 2.7 crore male voters and 2.8 crore female voters. Apart from this, there are also 7617 third gender voters, who will participate in this election. The politics of Tamil Nadu has been revolving between two big parties for a long time. These include AIADMK and DMK. These two parties have been dominating the politics of the state for a long time and most of the elections see a contest between them.
