A new turn is being seen in the politics of West Bengal from Baharampur in Murshidabad. Aam Janata Unnayan Party chief Humayun Kabir has played a big political gamble after resigning from Trinamool Congress. He clearly said, ‘I was a TMC MLA, yesterday I resigned. Tomorrow Asaduddin Owaisi and I will address a rally of 50,000 people. We will not allow Mamata Banerjee to come to power again.

Humayun Kabir has also announced to compete with Mamata Banerjee on the issue of women. He said, ‘She (Mamata Banerjee) is giving Rs 1500 under the ‘Lakshmir Bhandar’ scheme, I promise to give Rs 3500 to the women. Will not allow Mamata Banerjee to come to power again. He said that his party will present its election agenda on April 1, 2026. Humayun Kabir while targeting BJP said that Shubhendu Adhikari only does Hindu-Hindu.
‘Mamata Banerjee builds a temple by taking Muslim votes’
Taking aim at Mamata Banerjee, Humayun Kabir said, ‘Mamata Banerjee gets the votes of Muslims by becoming Chief Minister thrice and builds a temple. She is building Jagannath Dham, she is also building a Durga temple by taking the land of Muslims in Rajarhat. When she works for Hindus, will I not work for Muslims? Before the Bengal elections, TMC made many important announcements in its manifesto keeping women, youth, farmers and the poor at the center.
Mamta made this promise to the public
CM Mamata promised that if the Trinamool Congress government is formed again, the amount given to general category women will be increased from ₹ 1000 to ₹ 1500 per month. Whereas women of SC and ST category will be given ₹ 1700 every month instead of ₹ 1200. It was also announced to give allowance of ₹ 1500 per month to unemployed youth.
Humayun Kabir is contesting the elections with Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM. Before voting, these two leaders have created a stir in the TMC fort. On April 1, Owaisi and Kabir will hold a huge rally in Baharampur, in which more than 50,000 people are claimed to gather.
