In today’s era, often only useless and funny things go viral on social media, but sometimes such stories also come to light which touch the heart and become inspiration. One such story is that of Bittu Tabahi, a 20 year old youth from Biaora, a small town in Madhya Pradesh, who single-handedly took up the task of cleaning a dirty and polluted river. While people only complain, Bittu decided to do something different and started the work without any big resources. His hard work and passion not only changed the face of the river, but also attracted the attention of the entire country.
Started cleaning alone, friends also left me
Bittu, along with some of his friends, started cleaning the Ajnar river on January 26. In the beginning some people were with him, but gradually everyone retreated and he alone got involved in this mission. With simple tools in his hand and a big intention in his heart, he would go into the river every day and take out plastic waste, algae and dirt. This work was not easy, but he did not give up and continued working hard.
This young man from Biaora, MP, was criticized for claiming to have cleaned parts of a river just in order to gain social media views.
Well, we usually complain that social media rewards the trivial rather than the meaningful.

Passion did not stop even amidst criticism
When Bittu started the work of cleaning the river, many people made fun of him and said that he was doing all this just to get likes on social media. But these things had no effect on him. He focused on his work and proved that if the intention is strong then even a single person can bring a big change. The results of his hard work are now clearly visible, the river water looks much cleaner than before and the pollution has also reduced.
Got support from social media, Anand Mahindra also praised
This unique initiative of Bittu has created a stir on social media. The ‘before and after’ videos posted on her Instagram account are becoming increasingly viral. Meanwhile, famous industrialist Anand Mahindra also praised him and called him “Monday Motivation”. He said that if likes on social media inspire to do some good work, then there is no harm in it.

People on the internet are calling Bittu a “real hero” and a “lone warrior”. Many users have also asked to provide funds to help him, so that he can continue this work in the future. Some people compared him to ‘Mountain Man’ and said that if one person can do so much, then how much change the entire country can bring together. This story of Bittu disaster is not just about cleaning a river, but about a thought – that change can be initiated even by a single person.
