IPL 2026 MS Dhoni Return Latest Update: Before IPL 2026, former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni was injured, due to which he has not been able to take the field for the matches so far in the current season. Dhoni was seen practicing before the next match. Chennai shared a video on social media last Wednesday (01 April), in which Mahi was seen carrying his kit bag on the field. Apart from this, some pictures also surfaced, in which the former Chennai captain was seen practicing. Somewhere from this it is clear that he is recovering well.

Official update of Dhoni’s return
While issuing an official update regarding Dhoni on social media, Chennai had said that he is undergoing rehab due to calf strain. Due to this, he cannot play for the first two weeks of IPL. Apart from this, till now CSK has not released any other official update regarding Dhoni. The thing to note is that even in the last update nothing was said about the date of Dhoni’s return.

Dhoni’s amazing performance last season
In the 2025 IPL, Dhoni batted in 13 innings of 14 matches and scored 196 runs at a strike rate of 135.17, in which the high score was 30* runs. 12 fours and 12 sixes came from his bat.
