LPG Cylinder Price Today: People are worried about the shortage in supply and rising prices amid the LPG crisis. According to reports, many families across the country are struggling with the increasing burden of irregular supply and rising fuel prices. Amidst the increasing tension in the Middle East, Indian tanker ‘Green Sanwari’ has successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz carrying 46,650 tonnes of LPG. It can meet almost half the daily consumption of India. . At the same time, another ship from Iran has reached Mangalore port. This is an indication that despite the tension in the Red Sea, fuel supply is continuing.
Giving an update on the developments in West Asia, a government statement issued on Saturday said, “The LPG ship ‘Green Sanwari’ has safely transited the Strait of Hormuz. The ship was carrying 46,650 tonnes of LPG cargo and 25 sailors.” News agency PTI said that Green Sawri is the seventh Indian LPG tanker, which has crossed the Strait of Hormuz in the meanwhile. This waterway was almost closed after the attacks on Iran by America and Israel on February 28 and the subsequent strong retaliation by Tehran.
Current price of LPG cylinders
The prices of commercial LPG have been increased by Rs 195.50 from April 1. According to government oil companies, now the price of 19 kg commercial LPG in Delhi is Rs 2,078.50. The rate of 14.2 kg domestic LPG was last increased by Rs 60 on March 7. Currently their price in Delhi is Rs 913.
