TVK leader Aadhav Arjun targeted DMK, said- Stalin sidelined his sister Kanimozhi Karunanidhi.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Made a scathing attack on Stalin. He alleged that ahead of the assembly elections, the DMK leadership is giving priority to the interests of its family over senior party leaders and alliance partners.

Arjun alleged that Stalin has sidelined his sister and current MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi. The Chief Minister is grooming his son, Udhayanidhi Stalin, for political responsibilities, strengthening the family’s influence in the party.

“Senior leaders who made significant contributions to the party, such as Kanimozhi and general secretary Duraimurugan, are being sidelined,” Arjun said. Along with this he alleged that important decisions are now being taken by a close inner circle.

He also criticized the DMK’s candidate selection process, claiming that nominations were limited mainly to those supported by Udhayanidhi Stalin and Sabarisan. According to him, this has created discontent in the party and increased uncertainty among the coalition partners.

Arjun said that the main allies, like Congress, have still not been able to decide on candidates on many seats, due to which the internal dynamics in this alliance are impacting the coordination on the ground.

Citing the example of the political situation in Bihar, he alleged that influential parties weaken their allies over time. He gave the example of smaller parties, such as the MDMK, contesting elections under the DMK symbol and said such agreements weaken their independent political identity.

Criticizing the alliance choices, Arjun condemned DMDK’s joining the DMK-run front and said it was contrary to the ideological legacy of its founder, the late Vijayakanth. Such political alliances can weaken the core vision of the party. He also alleged that smaller allies and leaders were being pressurized in candidate selection and election strategies.

Expressing confidence in TVK’s prospects, Arjun said the party has fielded candidates in all 234 constituencies and claimed that around 25 per cent of the AIADMK’s traditional vote bank has shifted to TVK.
