Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Choudhary has given a befitting reply to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for calling her an ‘agent of BJP’. He said that Mamata Banerjee herself is the biggest ally of BJP. With him alive, BJP may not need Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary.
West Bengal Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said on the questions of journalists, “As long as Mamata Banerjee is in West Bengal, I cannot go close to the BJP. In fact, it was Mamata Banerjee who brought the BJP to Bengal. Not only this, she had also once been a minister in the BJP-led government. As long as Mamata Banerjee is there in West Bengal, the BJP may not need Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.”
He further said, “According to political equations, Mamata Banerjee herself is his biggest ally. Both contest elections together. Sometimes ‘Pro NRC, No NRC’ and sometimes ‘Pro SIR-No SIR’ remain between the two.”
The Congress leader also reacted to the attack that took place during the rally recently. He said, “During the election campaign, some Trinamool Congress miscreants tried to stop me. The local police present there did not take any precautionary measures even though they were informed in advance about the possibility of such an incident. We fought back ourselves and only then could our rally proceed.”
On Congress’s chances of winning in the West Bengal Assembly elections, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary said, “I cannot tell this figure. We are fighting, this is a big thing. We have hopes from the elections that whatever decision comes, it will be good.”
Meanwhile, Adhir Ranjan Choudhary responded to Pakistan Defense Minister Khawaja Asif’s comment on ‘attack on Kolkata’. He said, “He can only give statements. He himself is dying of hunger. The one who cannot give two meals a day to his people, how will he kill anyone? Pakistan should first wait for its people to fill their stomachs.”
