Amarnath Yatra Update: Like every year, this year too the date has come for the commencement of Amarnath Yatra for the darshan of Baba Barfani. This journey will start from July 3, 2026 for which registrations have also started. If you also want to go for this journey, then you will have to register online for it. Which has already started from 15th April. If you are going for Amarnath Yatra for the first time and do not know how to register and what are the rules of the yatra, then let us tell you about it.
How to register?
Registration for Amarnath Yatra is done in two ways: online registration and offline registration. If you want to register online then you can register by visiting the website of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board. So for offline registration, there are about 550 bank branches all over India which include SBI, PNB, Yes Bank, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank. You can get offline registration done by visiting these banks. These registrations are done on the lines of first come, first served, so you should get the registration done as soon as possible.
Eligibility Criteria
There are no specific rules for going on Amarnath Yatra. There are only three rules which are also logical. You should register for this journey only when your age is between 13 to 70 years. People younger or older than this cannot participate in the yatra. The second rule is that if a woman is six weeks or more pregnant, she also cannot participate in this yatra. Apart from this, medical certificate is also very important for travelling. This time your medical certificate obtained after April 8 will be valid for the journey.
These rules have been made keeping in mind the route of travel and the height of Baba’s cave. Because after going to high altitude during the journey, the oxygen pressure reduces, due to which many people suffer and many people have also died. Keeping this in mind, all these rules have been made.
