KKR Captain Ajinkya Rahane Statement: Out of the 10 teams present in IPL 2026, 9 have won at least 1 match. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is the only team which has not got a single win so far. The team has only one point, which they got after the match was canceled due to rain. The team suffered its 5th consecutive defeat of the season last Friday (April 17) against Gujarat Titans. After this defeat, team captain Ajinkya Rahane appeared very disappointed.

Rahane said on the team’s 5th defeat that it is not at all easy to talk immediately after losing a match like this. Apart from this, Rahane talked about the team’s star player Cameron Green, who played a brilliant inning of 79 runs. So let us know what Rahane said.

What did Ajinkya Rahane say on KKR’s 5th consecutive defeat?

In the post-match presentation, Rahane said, “As you said, it is not easy to come and talk about the match immediately after the defeat. I thought I only want to talk about the positive things, especially the way we started after the fall of two-three wickets. Cameron Green’s innings, he was under pressure, but the kind of counter-attack he did, his impact was positive.”

Rahane further said, “As you said, four wickets for 147 runs and from there it was a bit difficult for the batting unit to score almost 180 runs, but credit goes to all our bowlers, the way they bowled, took the game till the last over. Everyone contributed well.”

Where will KKR go from here?

Talking about the team, Rahane said, “I think it’s just about living in the moment. When things don’t go your way, you start thinking about a lot of things. I think it’s all about living in the moment. Just get on the field and enjoy the game. Instead of thinking about things that are not in our control, believe in ourselves as a unit. I think as a team we just have to go out on the field and do our best. Have to play the game. That’s what we wanted to do today, be aggressive from the very first shot.”
