Tamil Nadu Assembly Election 2026: In view of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi has taken a major political step and expressed his support in favor of the MK Stalin-led DMK alliance. Releasing a video message, he has urged the voters of Tamil Nadu to give majority to the alliance candidates in the elections to be held on April 23, so that Stalin can come back to power.
Owaisi appealed for votes through social media platforms
Releasing the video message through social media platforms, Owaisi started his speech by saying ‘Salaam Alaikum, Vanakkam’. He said, ‘On behalf of the AIMIM party, through this video message, I request the respected and honorable voters of Tamil Nadu to please cast their valuable votes in favor of the Stalin-led DMK alliance on 23rd of this month.’ He expressed hope and expectation that Stalin would come back to power with the blessings and support of the voters.
In his message, Owaisi also informed that his party AIMIM and its chief lawyer from Tamil Nadu, Ahmed, have already announced their support to the Stalin-led DMK alliance. He once again requested the voters to vote in favor of the DMK alliance on 23rd, especially in favor of the alliance candidate from Vaniyambadi constituency.
‘I request all the voters of Tamil Nadu’
Owaisi also expressed his feelings in Hindi through tweet. He wrote, ‘I request all the voters of Tamil Nadu to make all the candidates of DMK alliance successful by casting their precious votes on 23rd April.’ He extended his best wishes to everyone and thanked them.
This appeal has come at a time when electoral politics in Tamil Nadu is at its peak. All the parties are putting their full strength for the voting to be held on 23rd April. This support of AIMIM is being considered very important for the DMK alliance, because the number of minority voters plays a decisive role in many seats including Vaniyambadi. Political analysts believe that this message of Owaisi can prove helpful in uniting the voters for the DMK alliance.
