Bengal Election 2026: BJP candidate from Asansol South, Agnimitra Paul has claimed the victory of Bharatiya Janata Party in the West Bengal Assembly elections. He said that we are winning the elections. The people of West Bengal have decided that this time they do not want a TMC government.

BJP candidate from Asansol South, Agnimitra Paul, voted at a polling booth in her constituency on Thursday. Amidst tight security, she reached the polling station and cast her vote. He said that we have full confidence about victory. The entire Asansol South is my family. We are confident that we will win the elections. This victory will be seen all over Bengal.

No one in the state wants Mamata Banerjee’s government – Agnimitra

Regarding voting for the first time after SIR, Agnimitra Paul said, ‘The names of wrong voters were removed in the SIR. Many names have also been dropped in Asansol South Assembly. However, no one in the state wants Mamata Banerjee’s government.

Expressing fears of irregularities in the elections, Agnimitra Paul said, ‘There could be bombings. Electricity can also be cut. This has been happening in Bengal. TMC is a party of criminals. A large number of criminals from outside have also come to Asansol. Nadeem, a big criminal from Kharagpur has also come here. The Election Commission will have to look into all this. We want free and fair elections.

Speaking to IANS, the BJP candidate further said, ‘Two days ago, in the name of survey, wrong data was published against me in a paper. Preparations had been made to distribute this paper at the railway station also. We caught those people. An attempt was made to create a situation of confusion among the voters. Only TMC can do this kind of politics.

Regarding the Women’s Reservation Bill, Agnimitra Paul said, ‘It will have a big impact in the elections from the women’s side. Women have suffered a big loss due to the non-passing of this bill. Because of this, women will give their answers through EVMs.
