Actually, the director of a Bengaluru company has become a victim of one such scam. According to the report of Times of India, this incident happened on April 15, when a person resident of Banashankari received a message and call from an unknown number. In this message it was written ‘Last Day to Redeem Reward Points End’, along with this there was also a link which had to be clicked.
Had to rely heavily on message
The 56-year-old man believed the message and call and clicked on the link. After this, they were asked to pay a fee of Rs 34 to get gift and reward points. After this the person made the payment through his credit card, within a few moments Rs 73,889 was deducted from that card. Making a small payment was so costly for this person that he got defrauded of thousands of rupees.
