LPG cylinder price on 25 April: Today, on April 25, the prices of domestic and commercial gas cylinders remain stable in all the big cities of India. At the same time, global oil prices continue to rise for the sixth consecutive day. While domestic LPG prices have been changed only once, commercial cooking gas prices have been changed twice in the last few months.

How much have the prices been increased so far?

In March, the central government had increased the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder by Rs 60. However, there has been no change in prices since then, due to which domestic LPG prices have remained stable across the country.

Meanwhile, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder was first increased by Rs 144 in March, followed by another increase of about Rs 200 on April 1. This double increase in prices has caused huge losses to restaurants, eateries and other businesses, as they depend on cooking fuel for their daily operations.

This increase in prices happened after the war started in Iran on 28 February. Due to tension between America and Iran, there was a blockade in the Strait of Hormuz. It is a major shipping route for energy supplies, which is causing disruptions in oil supplies and increasing fuel prices.
