RBI rules for credit card recovery

  • The time for recovery agents to call consumers is also from 8 am to 7 pm. Apart from this, calling at any odd time is prohibited.
  • Recovery agents cannot visit the consumer’s home without prior notice or information.
  • Agents should have authorized documents from the bank, apart from this they should also have their ID card.
  • According to RBI rules, no information of any kind about the consumer should be leaked by the bank or the recovery agents.
  • Phone conversations between the consumer and the bank or between the consumer and recovery agents should always be recorded.

What are the rights of the consumer?
