As far as AIADMK is concerned, till now it has not been able to compensate for the rupture in the party after the demise of Jayalalitha. Even after joining BJP, E Palaniswami does not seem to be in a position to get more than 30 seats in Tamil Nadu. Whereas superstar Vijay, who is a newcomer in politics, is not only seen destroying AIADMK’s place by registering a strong presence through his party TVK, but in some exit polls, Vijay is also seen emerging as the largest party.
Axis My India’s estimate is shocking
The data of many exit polls conducted for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections 2026 is pointing towards a major change in the politics of the state. According to the estimates of Axis My India, actor Vijay’s party Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) can cause the biggest upset this time, which is expected to get 98 to 120 seats. On the other hand, the ruling DMK seems to be facing a tough fight with 92 to 110 seats, while the AIADMK, the second major force in the state, seems to be limited to just 22 to 32 seats. This performance of Vijay’s party is not only shaking the traditional equations of Dravidian politics, but is also putting him in a position to hand over the keys of power.
