West Bengal Exit Poll 2026: Congress’ ‘balle-balle’ in this Exit Poll, five times the gain of seats in Bengal, TMC-BJP kept watching

The second phase of voting has ended in West Bengal on Wednesday (29 April 2026). Along with this, the results of exit poll have also come out. However, in the meantime, Congress seems to be getting a big advantage in a survey of Poll Diary. According to the latest survey of Poll Diary, Congress is seen winning 3 to 5 seats in Bengal. Apart from this, Mamata Banerjee’s TMC is seen winning 127 seats, BJP 171, Left Front 3 and 1 other seat.

In Poll Diary’s survey, Congress is seen gaining 5 times the seats, because in the 2021 assembly elections, Congress could not win even 1 seat, whereas TMC formed the government with an overwhelming majority by winning 213 seats. BJP was limited to 71 seats. However, this time BJP’s figures seem to be improving.

Record voting took place in two phases in West Bengal

According to the Election Commission, there was a record 92.47 percent voting in the two-phase assembly elections in West Bengal, which is the highest since independence. As of 7.45 pm, the voting percentage in the second phase of assembly elections in West Bengal stood at 91.66. In the first phase of elections held on April 23, the voting percentage was 93.19. The Commission said, “The total voting percentage in both the phases has been 92.47 percent.” There are 6.81 crore voters in West Bengal. Earlier, the highest turnout in the state was 84.72 percent recorded in the 2011 assembly elections. In this phase, participation of women voters was slightly higher than that of men. According to the Election Commission, 92.28 percent of the total women voters voted, while the percentage of men was 91.07 percent.
