However, it could reach only the figure of 108, falling 10 seats short of the majority. After this, TVK got the support of five Congress MLAs, while two MLAs each from CPI and CPIM also supported it. Due to this the figure increased to 116. Now VCK has supported TVK. TVK has expressed gratitude to all the supporting parties, and party leader Arjun has also said that now Vijay is ready to form the government.
