This year more than 17 lakh students had registered for the examination. Of these, about 16.8 lakh students appeared in the examination. After a long wait, when the results were declared, about 15 lakh students were declared successful.
However, this time a slight decline was seen in the overall pass percentage. The overall pass percentage in the year 2026 was 85.20%, while in 2025 it was 88.39%. That means this time a decrease of about 3.19% was recorded. But education experts believe that this decline could be due to the strict evaluation and changed pattern of the examination. Still, passing of students at such a high level is a big achievement in itself.
Girls next again?
Like every year, this time too the girls performed brilliantly. Statistics show that the pass percentage of girls was 88.86%, while that of boys was 82.13%. That means girls were ahead of boys by about 6.73%. This difference clearly shows that daughters are continuously performing better in studies and are making a strong identity in the field of education.
How was the condition of Delhi region?
Talking about Delhi region, the students here also performed very well this time. The pass percentage of Delhi East was around 91.73%, while Delhi West did even better and recorded around 92.34% result. Overall, the overall pass percentage of Delhi was around 91.97%, which is much better than the national average. This performance shows that the students of the capital worked hard in their studies and achieved good marks.
Now talking about different regions, Thiruvananthapuram of Kerala recorded the highest pass percentage, which was around 99%. After this, regions like Vijayawada and Chennai were also among the top performers.
