NEET UG 2026 Result: National Testing Agency NTA has released the result of NEET UG 2026 re-exam. This time around 20 lakh candidates had appeared in the examination, out of which 11.21 lakh candidates have qualified for admission in medical, dental, AYUSH and other undergraduate medical courses. After the release of the results, now preparations are on to start the process of medical counselling. Let us tell you that this year the examination was conducted on June 21 in 13 languages at 543 examination centers in 551 cities of the country and 14 cities abroad. According to NTA, the results were released on time, so that the counseling and admission process could be completed as per the scheduled schedule. Most candidates were successful in Uttar Pradesh
According to NTA data, maximum of more than 1.70 lakh candidates from Uttar Pradesh achieved success in NEET UG 2026. Whereas from Lakshadweep, least 43 candidates have qualified. The agency said that candidates from almost all the states and union territories of the country have achieved success in the examination.
More children from these top 10 states won
According to the state-wise data released by NTA, in NEET UG 2026, these states had the highest number of qualified candidates after Uttar Pradesh. According to the data released by NTA, Uttar Pradesh remained at the forefront not only in the number of successful candidates in the medical entrance examination but also in terms of total participation.
- Uttar Pradesh: 1,70,770 qualified candidates
- Rajasthan: 1,33,140 qualified candidates
- Maharashtra: 1,07,304 qualified candidates
- Bihar: 68,968 qualified candidates
- Karnataka: 65,901 qualified candidates
- Tamil Nadu: 61,306 qualified candidates
- West Bengal: 52,746 qualified candidates
- Kerala: 51,782 qualified candidates
- Gujarat: 38,146 qualified candidates
- Telangana: 38,026 qualified candidates
A total of 11.21 lakh candidates qualified
This time a total of 11.21 lakh candidates have been successful in the examination, out of which more than 58 percent are women. The qualification percentage of women was slightly higher than that of men. A total of 138 candidates scored 690 or more marks in the examination, while 19 candidates scored more than 700 marks. According to NTA, 1,492 candidates have scored 650 or more, 10,160 candidates have scored 600 or more and 90,780 candidates have scored 500 or more.

Most qualifying candidates from OBC category
Talking about category wise result, maximum 5.12 lakh candidates have qualified from OBC NCL category. Apart from this, 2.91 lakh candidates have qualified from General category, 1.59 lakh from SC, 95,026 from General EWS, 63,716 from ST, 3,666 from PWD BD and 303 from PWD.
The exam was conducted in 13 languages
NEET UG 2026 was conducted in a total of 13 languages including Hindi and English. About 20 lakh candidates appeared in the examination. Before releasing the result, NTA had also released the final answer key and had told that to make the evaluation process more transparent this time, different stages have been completed in parallel.
