Middle East Conflict, Question on Pakistan Role: Is Pakistan playing a double game amid the ongoing tension and war in the Middle East? This is because Pakistan has recently deployed about 8 thousand soldiers, a fleet of fighter jets and an air defense system imported from China in Saudi Arabia, an important ally of America, under a mutual defense agreement. In such a situation, the war is on the verge of completing its 12th week i.e. three months. Neighboring Pakistan has increased all this when it is playing an important role of mediator in this war.

Chinese fighter jets also deployed in Saudi reserves

These defense level deployments have been confirmed to the news agency by three Pakistani security officials and two government sources. This stockpile includes about 16 JF-17 fighter planes made by China. He reached Saudi Arabia in the beginning of April. Besides, two squadrons of drones and an HQ-9 surface-to-air missile system are also included in it. Pakistan takes care of them. Saudi Arabia bears the entire expense. According to Reuters, this deployment includes the possibility of sending Pakistan warships.

Now in such a situation, there seems to be a contradiction between Pakistan’s role of mediation. Since March, Pakistan has been in high spirits regarding the end of the war between the two countries. He has also directly hosted both the countries. However, the first round of talks was inconclusive.

What is the provision in the agreement with Saudi, for which Pakistan is bound?

During this period, Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir has spoken to President Donald Trump several times during the entire conflict. Trump himself has said many times that he had stopped himself from attacking after the request of Pakistan PM. But the question is that despite this, Pakistan is still deploying troops for war in Saudi Arabia.

Under the deal with Saudi Arabia, Pakistan can deploy about 80 thousand soldiers in Saudi Arabia. This is a provision in the agreement between the two countries. Reuters had informed that Pakistan started deploying troops when Iran attacked Saudi infrastructure. A Saudi citizen had died in this. However, Pakistan’s authorities have not given any response regarding this deployment in Saudi Arabia.
