Vaibhav Suryavanshi has made a record against Lucknow Super Giants, which no Indian had been able to achieve till now. Vaibhav has set the record of being the only Indian to hit 50 or more sixes in a single IPL season. He made this record during his innings of 93 runs against Lucknow.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 93 runs playing 38 balls in the match against LSG. At one time he was playing after scoring 11 runs in 12 balls, but after the power play was over, Vaibhav’s bat burst into such fire that he scored 82 runs in the next 26 balls. In this stormy innings, Vaibhav hit 7 fours and 10 sixes.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi created history
This has happened only for the fourth time in the history of IPL, when a batsman has touched the figure of 50 sixes in a season. Before this, Chris Gayle has done this twice and once Andre Russell has hit more than 50 sixes in the season. Vaibhav is the first Indian batsman to hit fifty sixes in a season.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has gone far ahead among the Indians who have hit the most number of sixes in a season. After him in the list of Indians, comes Abhishek Sharma, who hit 42 sixes in the IPL 2024 season. Abhishek and Vaibhav, only these two Indians have crossed the figure of 40 or more sixes in an IPL season. Shreyas Iyer had hit 39 sixes in the 2025 season.
Vaibhav has once again won the Orange Cap on the basis of his inning of 93 runs against Lucknow. He has 579 runs in his name in 13 matches. In second place is Mitchell Marsh of Lucknow, who has 563 runs in his name.
