Pakistan Air Force’s training plane crashes, both pilots ejected, know how the accident happened

A Pakistan Air Force aircraft, a Hongdu K-8 training aircraft, crashed near Mianwali. Before the accident, both the pilots were seen ejecting and coming out safely through parachute.

The causes of the accident have not been confirmed yet. At present, no official statement has been issued by the Pakistan Air Force regarding the condition of the pilots or possible casualties on the ground.

Accident investigation started

Pakistan Air Force has constituted a Board of Inquiry to investigate the matter immediately after the plane crash. The investigation is looking into all possible causes, including technical fault, aircraft maintenance and human error.

This accident is considered a serious challenge for the Pakistani Air Force, because training missions are usually conducted under strict safety standards. According to initial information, both the pilots were experienced and due to their quick reaction they were successful in ejecting safely. It is believed that if the pilots were less experienced, the situation could have been much more serious.
