Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi, while talking to news agency IANS, said that Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s statement has come regarding offering Namaz on the streets. I want to tell them that Muslims never offer namaz on the road. Only the matter of compulsion is different. Be it Eid, Bakrid, Friday namaz, or regular namaz, namaz is never offered on the roads.

‘Trying to please the majority community’

He said that he is trying to create an unnecessary issue and is doing this to please the majority community. There should be no obstacle between the person offering Namaz and God. Namaz cannot be offered amid the noise on the streets, that is why Muslims offer namaz only in mosques. CM Dhami should be aware of this.

‘Sacrifice that has been going on for centuries’

On the ongoing controversy regarding sacrifice in West Bengal and Delhi, Maulana Shahabuddin Rizvi said that May 28 is the day of sacrifice i.e. Bakra Eid. This has been going on for centuries. People are spreading rumors that sacrifice is banned in India.

‘Sacrifice should not happen in public places’

He said that I would especially tell the Muslim community not to offer sacrifices in public places. At the time of sacrifice, cover the cattle or do it in the slaughter house. He said that the banned cattle should not be sacrificed because it is related to the faith of people of other religions.
