The film ‘Saaransh’, released on 25 May 1984, gave Anupam Kher a new identity in the film industry. In this film, he played the character of a 65-year-old man, whereas at that time he was only 28 years old. Now on completion of 42 years, he posted a video on his ex’s timeline. What special message did you give to the youth of small towns?

Anupam Kher said, ‘If the son of a clerk working in a forest department can come to Mumbai with just Rs 37 and can make a place in people’s hearts with his very first role, then nothing is impossible in the world. When I entered the film industry, I neither had money nor any big support, but hard work and faith took me here.

In the video, the actor said, ‘Today after 42 years, I can proudly say that I have worked in 551 films. If a person believes in his dreams and does not stop working hard, he can reach any destination.
