Late actor Dharmendra was given the Padma Bhushan award in 2012 for his contribution to Indian cinema. Today, on May 25, 2026, he was posthumously awarded the country’s highest civilian award, Padma Vibhushan. Hema Malini received Padma Shri in the year 2000 for her contribution to cinema.
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan
Amitabh Bachchan was awarded Padma Shri in 1984. After this, he received the Padma Bhushan award in 2001 and was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2015. His wife Jaya Bachchan was awarded Padma Shri in 1992.
