Pakistan has been fostering terrorism for years and this trend is still going on. India has once again slammed Pakistan on the issue of terrorism. He has exposed Pakistan in front of the whole world. India has said in the United Nations that Pakistan will have to accept that sponsoring cross-border terrorism has to face consequences. India also said that it has every right to protect itself from terrorist attacks.

India’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Harish Parvatneni, said in the UN Security Council meeting on Tuesday (May 26), ‘Today I have to respond to Pakistan’s baseless and unfair comments. India wants to clarify the facts. He said, ‘Independent India started its existence by fighting Pakistan’s cross-border aggression. Pakistan was claiming those Indian territories which had become part of India due to valid, complete and irrevocable merger.

Parvataneni’s strong reaction against Pakistan came during the Security Council debate on upholding the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and strengthening the UN-centred international system. China, which is chairing the 15-member Security Council for May, hosted the meeting.

China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi presided over the inaugural session of the meeting. While addressing the Security Council debate, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar raised the issue of Jammu and Kashmir and also mentioned the Indus Water Treaty. India had suspended this treaty after the Pahalgam terrorist attack in April 2025. 26 civilians were killed in this attack.

‘Pak is conspiring to weaken India;

‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF), a front organization of Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, had taken responsibility for this attack. Criticizing Pakistan, Parvataneni said, ‘Pakistan’s use of cross-border terrorism and its doctrine of ‘weakening India by giving a thousand wounds’ exposes the hollow rhetoric of its commitment to the UN Charter.’

He said, ‘India has every right to protect itself from such cross-border terrorism. Pakistan has to accept that sponsoring cross-border terrorism has consequences. The Indian Ambassador said that by waging several wars, showing unprovoked aggression against India and continuously supporting cross-border terrorism, Pakistan has violated the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity and peaceful co-existence.
