The US Army has informed that on May 31, 2026, at 11 pm (ET), two Iranian ballistic missiles fired targeting US military forces deployed in Kuwait were successfully intercepted. According to US officials, both the missiles were detected in time and were intercepted and destroyed before they could reach the target. No American soldier or employee was harmed in this incident.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said that it is constantly monitoring the security situation in the region and is fully prepared to respond to any possible threat. The command also made it clear that the US military will continue to take all necessary steps to protect its deployed forces and personnel. CENTCOM said in its statement that it supports the current ceasefire, but will remain alert and prepared to defend its forces against any attack or threat from Iran.
