The names of the candidates for the Legislative Council elections in Maharashtra have been officially announced by Mahayuti. Also appealed to the rebels to withdraw their names. Mahayuti (BJP-Shiv Sena-Nationalist Congress Party-Ajit Pawar faction) has released the list of its authorized candidates for the Local Self-Government Legislative Council elections 2026 in Maharashtra. The names of candidates for 17 seats in the state have been declared in the list released on June 3.

Dr. Rajiv Potdar from Nagpur, Avinash Brahmankar from Bhandara-Gondiya, Praveen Pote from Amravati, Prajakt Tanpure from Ahmednagar, Ravindra Phatak from Thane, Narendra Darade from Nashik and Vikram Kakade from Pune have been made candidates.

Mahayuti officially announced the candidates

Mahayuti has declared these candidates as authorized candidates for the Local Self-Government Institution (Legislative Council) elections 2026. During voting, voters have been appealed to give first preference vote to Mahayuti candidates. Mahayuti has appealed to the voters to give first preference vote to its candidates in the elections to be held on June 18.

The list of candidates has the signatures of BJP Maharashtra President Ravindra Chavan, Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar) State President Sunil Tatkare and Shiv Sena Secretary Rahul Shewale. NCP got two seats

These two seats are Pune and Raigarh-Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg (Konkan). Sanjay Kakade’s son Vikram Kakade has been fielded from Pune, while from Raigarh-Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg the party has fielded former MLA Aniket Tatkare.
