USA News: A tragic road accident in America’s Ohio state took away the happiness of a family. A 17-year-old pregnant girl and her unborn child died in this accident. Now the mother of the deceased teenager has demanded permanent deportation of the Indian citizen accused in the case from America.
Mother said- the accused should not live in America
Annette Holmes, mother of the deceased teenager, said that she does not want 33-year-old accused Tarsem Singh to live in America. He said that later he came to know that Tarsem Singh was living in America illegally. Annette Holmes said, “No woman deserves to die like this while pregnant with her first child.” She added, “I don’t mind if he is deported permanently. We found out that he initially came here illegally. Send him wherever you see fit, but I don’t want to see him in America anymore.”
The accused was declared the father of the unborn child.
According to the victim’s family, Indian citizen Tarsem Singh was the father of the unborn child of deceased teenager Ashley Holmes. Family members told that Ashley had tried many times to get out of this relationship, but she could not succeed.
How did the accident happen?
According to police, on February 16, Ashley Holmes was traveling in a Range Rover Velar car. During this time the vehicle met with an accident. According to the investigating agencies, Tarsem Singh ignored the police stop signal and then tried to run away at high speed. During this, a high-speed chase started between the police and the vehicle. According to officials, the speed of the vehicle had reached approximately 100 miles per hour.

According to the accident report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Range Rover was initially going 79 mph in a 55 mph limit zone. After the chase began, the speed of the vehicle exceeded 120 miles per hour. Due to high speed, the driver could not control the vehicle on the turn. The car went to the other side of the road, collided with a jeep and overturned several times. Ashley Holmes was thrown out of the car during the accident. He suffered serious injuries in the accident and died on the spot. According to the report, the child growing in her womb also could not survive this accident.
Serious criminal cases registered against the accused
In this case, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) has issued a detainer against Tarsem Singh. 33-year-old Tarsem Singh has been charged under several serious criminal sections including culpable homicide, murder by negligence and aggravated vehicular manslaughter. However, according to American law, the accused will be considered innocent until proven guilty in the court.
The accused had reached America illegally in 2017
According to the US Department of Homeland Security, Tarsem Singh entered the US illegally through the southern border of California in February 2017. He was arrested at that time, but later a judge ordered his release on bail.
Deportation action may be taken after the trial
Tarsem Singh will currently remain in custody under the detainer issued by ICE. After the outcome of the criminal case, deportation proceedings can also be initiated against him. A jury trial in the case has been scheduled between August 17 and 21. After the death of the teenager and her unborn child, the family is demanding justice.
