IndiGo News: The country’s largest airline IndiGo has decided to temporarily stop flight services on some of its international routes. The company said that this decision has been taken in view of the possible decline in passenger demand and increasing operating costs.
Flights on these routes will remain canceled
According to the airline, flights operating to Langkawi, Krabi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Siem Reap are going to be cancelled. These flights will remain suspended from 1st July or 3rd July 2026 to 30th September 2026. During this period, no regular flight service will be available on these routes.

What did IndiGo administration say?
A statement has come from IndiGo on this matter, in which it has been said that the passenger demand for these routes in the coming quarter is likely to be less than expected. Not only this, fuel, airport fees and other operating expenses have also increased, due to which this decision has been taken. However, the airline has clarified that this decision is temporary and services on these routes can be restarted once demand improves.
The company is currently operating more than 1800 international flights every week and its services on other major foreign routes will continue as normal. In such a situation, this decision is expected to have limited impact on the total international network of the airline.
