England surrendered in the 150th test, Root-Stokes all flopped against the Kiwis.

Lord’s ground has completed its 150 test matches. This historic match has started between England and New Zealand from 4th June. New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl first, this decision proved to be right for them. England’s batting has become dismal in the first innings, because in this rain-affected innings, the British team had lost 6 wickets even before the score of 100 runs.

Lord’s is the first ground in the world to host 150 test matches. When the England team came to bat first, Ben Duckett was out after scoring only 19 runs. Emilio Gay, Jacob Batchelor and Joe Root also went cheaply. In no time, 4 wickets of England fell till the score was 34. By the time the game was stopped due to rain, England had scored 118 runs at the loss of 8 wickets.

Joe Root had a chance to create history. If Root had scored 75 runs, he would have become the first batsman in the history of Test cricket to complete 2000 runs, but he was out after scoring only one run.

Only Harry Brook faced the New Zealand bowlers bravely for some time. He scored 56 runs playing 71 balls and was the only batsman to score a half-century for the English team. It was thanks to him that England somehow touched the 100-run mark.

Captain Ben Stokes also flopped badly, scoring only 12 runs. In the last 11 Test innings, Stokes has been able to cross the 20-run mark only twice and on both those occasions he scored fifty. Kyle Jamieson wreaked the most havoc for New Zealand, who has taken 4 wickets so far. William O’Rourke and Nathan Smith took two wickets each.
