During this time, he became a part of the party directly from the promotion of the film. During this time, he wore a Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj printed T-shirt and a video of him from this party itself went viral, in which it was claimed that the actor had consumed alcohol while wearing this T-shirt. Now he has issued a statement on this.

Seeing the matter heating up, Ritesh Deshmukh broke his silence on this and gave his reaction. He shared a post on Instagram and wrote a long statement in it. He wrote, ‘I am deeply grateful for the love that the recently released Raja Shivaji received from the audience. One of my videos is being discussed on social media. As an actor and viewer, I consider it my responsibility to clarify about that video. I want to clarify that I had no intention of insulting Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by wearing his T-shirt.

Ritesh further writes, ‘The T-shirt I was wearing was worn for the promotion of the film and then from there I went straight to the party, so I did not get time to change it. There is a discussion on social media that I drank alcohol, so I want to make it clear that I never drank alcohol. Therefore, the allegations leveled against me are wrong. Along with this, the actor also clarified that he did not comment on any person associated with that video or the organizer of the event. In fact, the actor claimed that he welcomed everyone with respect.

In the end, Riteish Deshmukh wrote, ‘If anyone’s sentiments have been hurt by any of his work, then as an actor I am sad. However, if we talk about the earnings of Marathi film ‘Raja Shivaji’, then this film did amazing business at the box office. According to Sacknilk, the film collected Rs 95.86 crore India net. With this, its India gross collection stood at Rs 117.41 crore. The film earned Rs 4.27 crore in overseas. The film overtook ‘Sairat’ and became the highest-grossing Marathi film.
