The dispute between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar regarding the film ‘Don 3’ has deepened. The actor left the film three weeks before its shooting began. Regarding this matter, Farhan Akhtar reached FWICE, where he lodged a complaint and the federation held a press conference and accused the actor of not responding and also imposed ‘non-cooperation’ on him, after which it became even more heated. However, later seeing the matter escalating, the Federation withdrew this decision, on which CINTAA President Poonam Dhillon has now reacted. He says that he had no knowledge of this matter.
Actually, actress and President of Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) Poonam Dhillon spoke to news agency ANI on Thursday, June 4, 2026. During this, he spoke openly on the entire matter and said that CINTAA was not informed about this nor was CINTAA involved in it. Although CINTAA’s venue was used for the press conference, no information was given at that time either.

Poonam Dhillon’s claim – FWICE did not give information to CINTAA
Poonam Dhillon, while reacting on the ‘Don 3’ controversy and FWICE’s ‘non-cooperation’ decision, said, ‘We neither issued a non-cooperation issue nor withdrew it. We were not included in the picture at all. When this decision was announced, I was quite surprised because despite being artists of CINTAA, we are affiliates of FICE. So we should have been included in it ethically, right? So that we can also present our views. I feel that unilateral decisions are never right. I am happy that he has withdrawn his decision. Because this would not have affected only Ranveer Singh, many people in the industry like technicians, lightmen, stuntmen, make-up artists, costume staff and others would have been affected.

Poonam further says, ‘Everyone’s earnings would have been affected. I feel that if an organization has been given so much power, it should not take decisions without thinking. Not only us but all the affiliates should have been included in this. Our actor is Ranveer Singh. We have also raised our objection on this.

FWICE hastened to non-cooperation?
Poonam Dhillon was asked whether FWICE was hasty in issuing the non-cooperation? So on this the actress said, ‘Obviously it feels like that, doesn’t it? Because within a few days it was also done. On CINTAA’s involvement, Poonam said, ‘I was very surprised when they said that CINTAA’s appeal has come. Please ask them to show us our letter of appeal. Upasana ji can go as an actress but no one in CINTAA knew about this. We have groups.
Poonam Dhillon expressed her displeasure with FWICE
Poonam Dhillon says, ‘I do not understand why we were not given information. Phone calls, WhatsApp are everywhere. Every day one or the other letter would come from the Federation. When the first press conference was held, they used a space in our office for it and also took permission for it and we gave it. We didn’t even ask why are you doing this? When the news came in the media, we were shocked. Then we also asked Upasana ji that how can this be done without informing and involving us. It would have been understandable if we had nothing to do with it, but we are a concern party. We gave him our place without question. After this he did the same and we did not feel right.
