The biggest T20 World Cup in history is starting from June 12, when will India play its matches?

International Cricket Council (ICC) Chairman Jay Shah described the 2026 World Cup as the biggest T20 World Cup in history. He has congratulated all the teams including India, Pakistan and Australia. Actually, the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup is going to start from June 12. For the first time, 12 teams are going to participate in the Women’s T20 World Cup, hence Jay Shah described it as the biggest World Cup.

This time the Women’s T20 World Cup is being hosted by England and Wales. The first match will be played on 12th June and the final is to be played on 5th July. Let us tell you that Team India has never won this title, but this time the team captained by Harmanpreet Kaur would like to create history. This time 12 teams from the world are participating in the Women’s T20 World Cup, which have been divided into two groups of seven each. India has been placed in Group A, whose first match is to be held with Pakistan on June 14.

Group A – India, Australia, Pakistan, Netherlands, Bangladesh and South Africa

Group B- England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Ireland and Scotland

India’s T20 World Cup schedule

The Indian team will play its first match with Pakistan on June 14. Team India has to face Netherlands on 17th June and South Africa four days later. South Africa has been the runner-up last two times. Team India’s match is to be played with Bangladesh on 25th June and the last league match will be with Australia on 28th June.

  • 25 June – India vs Bangladesh
