According to CNN, such statements have been made by Trump about 37 times, which seems to put an end to the speculations about an agreement, however, there does not seem to be any scope for anything like this on the ground.
Trump has claimed many times about deals and peace agreements
Less than a month after the war began, Trump told reporters on Air Force One that peace talks were moving forward. One day after this, he made several public statements, in which he said that Iran is eager to reach a compromise. Trump has said that I think we are going to end it. Then said that I cannot say for sure. After this, on March 25, he said that Iran wants to compromise very badly. The next day in the cabinet meeting he told that Tehran was begging for a compromise. On March 29, while answering media questions, he said that yes, I see an agreement in Iran. After this he gave several statements. Said on April 6 that both sides were very close to an agreement.
Apart from this, while talking to Fox News on April 15, Trump said that I think it is very close to ending. I consider it very close to being finished. He further said that let’s see what happens next. I think they want to make a deal very badly. After this, on May 1, he said that when the war would end, which should not take much time. Said on May 18 that they were postponing military attacks for two or three days at the request of Middle East countries. Because they think they are very close to a deal. In an interview given to Lara Trump on May 28, she said that both sides are close to a very good deal. Recently on Sunday, Trump claimed that he is very close to a deal. Also said that there is a danger of talks getting spoiled due to continuous clashes between Iran and Israel.
