London Tragedy: A very sad and shocking incident has come to light from London, the capital of Britain. Three members of an Indian-origin family died after falling from a high-rise residential building in South London. The deceased have been identified as 46-year-old Aditi Vijay Parlakar, her husband Rakesh Narayan Pai, 47, and their 9-year-old son Sid Pai Parlakar. The police is investigating this entire matter and has not reached any conclusion yet.

Information about the incident was received on the morning of 27 May.

According to the information, at around 7:30 am on May 27, emergency services were informed that three people had fallen from a height in Churchyard Row, Elephant and Castle area of ​​South London. As soon as the information was received, teams of Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, London Air Ambulance and London Fire Brigade reached the spot. However, all three could not be saved.

Family falls from 36th floor balcony

According to reports, the family lived in their flat located on the 36th floor of the 45-storey Highpoint Tower block. It is being told that all three fell from a height of about 400 feet. The investigation into how the incident happened is still ongoing. However, in the report of British newspaper Daily Mail, it has been said that this case will also be investigated from the angle of suspected murder-suicide i.e. suicide after murder.

Set up a new life in London

According to the report, Aditi and Rakesh came to London in the early 2000s. Later both of them started their own consultancy business and settled there. People who know the family said that they were under a lot of mental and emotional pressure for the last few years due to their son’s serious health problems.

Son was suffering from many serious diseases

According to friends, Sid was born in Britain. He could not speak and had many learning difficulties. He was also partially disabled and was suffering from kidney disease for a long time. People close to the family say that the constant time and stress of taking care of their son had a deep impact on the parents.

Aditi was struggling with depression

Talking to Daily Mail, family friends told that Aditi Parlakar was facing depression and other mental health related problems for a long time. A friend said, “It was a huge stress for both of them, but Aditi was especially finding it very difficult to deal with the situation.” However, another friend questioned the possibility of an alleged suicide pact, saying, “This is beyond our understanding. Aditi was definitely struggling, but Rakesh always appeared to be the more calm and balanced of the two.”

Police appealed to avoid speculation

The Metropolitan Police has clarified that the investigation into the matter is still ongoing and all possibilities are being investigated. Acting Detective Superintendent Dan Whitton said: “Our thoughts are with the families of Aditi, Rakesh and Sid and their loved ones. We are working quickly to determine the truth behind these tragic deaths.”

He further said, “We are currently looking at all the circumstances with an open mind. We appeal to the public and the media to refrain from making any kind of speculation until the investigation is completed.”
