In response to this question, Waris Pathan said, “The law applies to everyone. Be it the Chief Minister or a common citizen. It is written in the Constitution. No one is bigger than the Constitution. Everyone is within the ambit of the Constitution. If someone has committed a mistake, the strictures of the law will be tightened against him.” He further said, “Whatever is there will be done as per the law.”

Mamta Banerjee is continuously getting severe shocks.

After the setback suffered by All India Trinamool Congress in the elections, now big setbacks are being given continuously by the party leaders. In such a situation, there is a possibility of Mamata Banerjee’s party TMC merging with Congress. These speculations have been gaining momentum for the last several days. Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered against TMC chief Mamata Banerjee for making inflammatory statements during the West Bengal Assembly election campaign.

The officer said that a person has lodged a complaint at Netaji Nagar police station. The complaint alleges that Banerjee’s comments during a party program in Kolkata’s Esplanade area on March 9 were likely to promote enmity between communities.
