Dividend Stock News: Benares Hotels Ltd, a Tata Group hospitality sector company, has announced dividend for the business year 2025-26. The company has recommended a dividend of Rs 25 on each equity share with face value of Rs 10.

The record date for this has been fixed as July 16, 2017. That means your name should be in the registered records of the company till this day, only then you will get the profit of dividend. You have to buy this share on or before July 15, 2026 so that it gets credited to your demat account by the record date.

What did the company say?

The company said, “As stated in our letter dated April 29, 2026, the Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 25 per equity share of Rs 10. If approved by the shareholders at the AGM, the dividend will be paid from Monday, August 3, 2026, after deducting applicable taxes (TDS).

The company further said, “Under Regulation 42 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the ‘Record Date’ for identifying members entitled to receive dividend for the financial year 2025-26 has been fixed as Thursday, July 16, 2026.”

Important things for investors

Tax Deduction (TDS)- If your total dividend amount in a financial year exceeds Rs 5000, the company will deduct 10% TDS before making the payment.

Share price adjustment- On the ex-dividend date (July 16), a reduction (adjustment) of Rs 25 can be seen in the share price of Banaras Hotels, so keep the market risk in mind while buying in the last days just for dividend.

Eligibility medium- The shares should be held in your demat account in electronic form or the valid process of transfer in physical form should be completed before the close of working hours on July 16, 2026.
